ALPHACOR and ALPHASAND GRP piping

 

Amerplastics is a distributor of Polyester – and Vinylester glassfiber reinforced pipe systems for manufacturer Protesa in the Benelux area. For the civil market sand filled polyesters pipes are available. Alphacor and Alphasand pipes are manufacture red in Barcelona and Zaragoza (Spain) and available up to diameters of 3200 mm.

ALPHACOR PIPE

"ALPHACOR" is the thermosetting resin pipe (polyester, vinylester, etc.) reinforced with glass fiber (GRP) formulated to resist corrosion of a wide range of chemical products.
Corrosion-proof pipe systems "ALPHACOR" are designed to protect the environment of possible contaminations from products to be transported and they support, in addition, the erosions which could provoke in them the ultraviolet rays, if the erection is outdoors. For GRP corrosion-proof pipe and fitting fabrication there exist internationally standardized systems and Protesa has chosen two types due to their superior characteristics: "crossed filament winding" and "hand lay up". "ALPHACOR" pipes are fabricated in useful lengths of 12 meters with ends configured for all types of joints between pipes (flanged ends, Bell and Spigot or smooth for chemical joint or by means of mechanical clamp). They are designed to support pressures of up to 40 kg/cm2 with a range of ND from 15 mm up to 3200 mm.

ALPHASAND PIPE

"ALPHASAND" is the pipe of glass fiber reinforced thermosetting resins (GRP) and inert sand loads in the structural layer fabricated by continuous winding process or "crossed filament winding" and provided of a monolithic "bell and spigot" joint which provides it with full watertightness.
In this manner, Protesa increases the circumferential stiffness (SN. 2500, 5000, 10000 N/m2) of the traditional and prestigious "ALPHACOR" pipes.
"ALPHASAND" is fabricated in useful spans of 12 meters and up to 3200 mm diameter, being specially suitable for urban or industrial waste water collectors which should support the corrosion of the liquid they transport and of the ground.. "ALPHASAND" incorporates a complete system of fittings (elbows, bobbin flanges, flanges, reducers, etc.) suitable to the different pressures and stiffnesses which provide the "ALPHASAND" the maximum flexibility in the design of the lines and that the erection be easy, fast and consequently, very economical.
